The Hot Chocolate Recipe You Gotta Try.
This time of the year is just so, me. Give me all the throws, all the wooly hats, and alllll the warm drinks and I’m yours… I’ve not written a drinky blog post in a little while now and I thought it was about time to Autumn things up just a ~tad~ more with a cheeky lil hot chocolate recipe…
Now this one’s so easy I don’t think I’m gonna need the ol’ one step, two step, and instead will just talk you through how melting a whole load of dark chocolate and adding some sweet nothings creates basically, a dream in a mug…
You will need:
- 100g of dark chocolate.
- 2 cups of water.
- 2 cinnamon sticks.
- 2 cups of milk.
- Grated dark chocolate.
- Whipped cream.
- Cocoa Powder, for sprinkling.
If you fancy mixing things up and turning this into a bit of a winter warmer cocktail then you can always add a splash of contreu or even a lil whisky…ello!
So this is where the fun begins… and dw this recipe is seriously easy. A chuck it all in the saucepan kind…! Firstly take your cinnamon sticks, chocolate and water and pop it into a pan and stir until the chocolate is completely melted. Next, add your milk and bring to the boil and keep stirring, this is where if you fancy it you can add a little alcohol, and if not remove from the hob and get whipped cream topping and chocolate sprinkling! And that’s it! SO simple, yet so tasty, who knew homemade could be so quick?
Okay I’m gonna go and drink three mugs of this now…. Let me know if you give the recipe a go!
